How to get to Forest Gate

From Gloucester and M5

Take the A40 (from Junction 11 if travelling on the M5) and travel Westwards past Gloucester City (splendid view of Cathedral) and continue on that road all the way to Huntley (7 miles/11 km). Travel through village until you see signpost for A4136 (Mitcheldean and Monmouth) on the right-hand side of road. Level with that sign is the entrance to our drive on the left-hand side of the road, with big yellow signs reading ‘Forest Gate' and ‘Camping’.

From Ross-on-Wye A40

Take the A40 from the Ring Road and continue on the A40 for 9 miles/14km, until you see the sign for A4136 (Mitcheldean and Monmouth) on the left-hand side of the road. As soon as you have passed that junction, indicate right and prepare to turn 50 yards beyond, at our yellow signs on the right, reading ‘Forest Gate’ and ‘Camping’. Beware oncoming traffic, which is sometimes insensitive to turning vehicles!

From Monmouth (A4136)

Take the A4136 all the way to its junction with the A40 (15 miles/25km) and turn right. Immediately prepare to turn right again, after 50 Gate yards at our yellow signs at the bottom of our drive reading ‘Forest Gate’ and ‘Camping’. Beware oncoming traffic, which is sometimes insensitive to turning vehicles! .

From Newent (B4216)

Take the B4216 from Newent High Street signposted to Huntley and continue for 5 miles/8km. At the junction with the A40 turn right and prepare to turn left after 100 yards into our drive; you will see our yellow signs on the left, reading ‘Forest Gate’ and ‘Camping’.
